Recently, I took a position at the Desert Institute, a division of the Joshua Tree National Park Association, coordinating the adult educational programs that are offered in both the Spring and Fall seasons. You can see the course offerings at www.joshuatree.org and click on Desert Institute.
I now get to provide Natural Science, Cultural History, Survival Skills and Art education programs in the Joshua Tree National Park on a much larger scale. This is a very good opportunity, but it means that I have to end Mojave Desert Excursions. Thank you to all of my friends and clients.

"The desert is time, exposed time, geologic time. One needs time in the desert to see."
- Terry Tempest Williams
I have received delivery of my newest work, a 40 page, full-color, softcover book of roadside portraits in the Mojave Desert. The price is $29.95 plus $3.50 for shipping (USPS). For more information, please call me at 760-910-1420.
"To visit a section of Route 66 today from the perspective of current day travelers in Kevin’s book (including many visitors from other countries), to see their faces, to hear about their fascination with Route 66—was more moving than I ever expected. There is “something” very compelling about Kevin’s photographic style which uses wonderful “straight-on” reflections of these adventurous individuals. Kevin has done a great job of capturing the metaphoric “light in their eyes” and the body language of their stances. And his visit with Dennis Casebier—Wonderful!"
